Marjon Running Series workshop 1: Running Related Injuries - Prevention and Management

Marjon are proud sponsors of Britain's Ocean City Running Festival. We are running a set of workshops to help prepare. Whether you are a seasoned runner or a beginner this is an opportunity to meet like minded people, share tips and talk through any issues in an informal and friendly environment.

Title: Running-Related Injuries - Prevention and Management.

Location: Biomechanics lab (Sports Centre)

Time: 18:30-20:30

This is the first session in the Marjon Running Series. 

This session will provide an overview of common running-related injuries and discuss some of the factors that may contribute to injury. Strategies to help reduce the risk of injury, and manage injuries, such as gait, exercise correction, warm-up, cool-down, and kinesiology taping will be presented.

These sessions are designed to help you get the most out of your training. Whether you are a seasoned runner or a beginner this is an opportunity to meet like minded people, share tips and talk through any issues in an informal and friendly environment.

The Marjon Running Series will be run by the highly experienced academics and professionals based at Plymouth Marjon University.

This masterclass will be delivered by Sarah Catlow, Senior Lecturer and Darren Crocker, Lecturer, in the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation

Book now - each workshop costs £3.20 per person. Spaces are limited so booking in advance is advised (Look for Marjon Running Series when booking)

You must be 18 or over to attend.

Please dress appropriately ready to get involved.

The attendance fee is non-refundable.

Please be aware that by attending a session with an underlying health issue, you agree to moderate exercises and advice provided, in line with advice from your doctor or medical professional.

There is free parking at the Marjon main campus. Please be aware if you decide to park at the Plymouth Marjon Sport & Health Centre there will be a charge.
