About this event

During this panel session, we’ll discuss the dos & don’ts when pitching to mining media, including what is the best way to approach the media when you have a positive story or when there’s been some negative developments. Our panellists will share what works best with them as well as what not to do. This will be both fun and informative for anyone in communications.

Ariadna Peretz ( Director at Buchanan and Head of Communications at WIM UK)

Confirmed Speakers:

Neil Hume (Natural Resources Editor at the Financial Times)

Carly Leonida (Owner and Author at The Intelligent Miner and European Editor at Mining Media International)

Women in Mining UK (WIM UK) is a volunteer-run, non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the employment, retention and advancement of women in the mining sector. These include a scholarship programme with the Camborne School of Mines and Imperial College London, internship programme, partnership with Women on Boards UK, and numerous networking, educational and mentoring events. WIM UK publishes thought leadership articles and research as well as the biennial “100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining” (WIM100), which celebrates women’s contribution to the mining industry and identifies inspirational role models to encourage future generations of women to consider mining as a career choice.
