We are gearing up for another awesome First Friday downtown Hood River. Mark your calendars for August 5th, 5-8 pm. Oak St. from 1st to 6th and 2nd between State and Oak will be closed to traffic starting at 4:00 pm. This will allow for you to check out the awesome vehicles in our car show, plus amazing vendors from our area will be set up down Oak St.
We have almost 20 cars registered for the car show. They will be lined up on Oak St. There are over 25 different vendors that will be joining us as well.
- A sidewalk chalk contest brought to you by Fruit Loops Art Center. Thank you to G.Willikers and Tokki Art Supply for donating chalk
- Oak St. Pub is hosting a break dancing contest
- We are featuring entertainment by Tony Smiley
- Louder than Brad will be performing in front of John L. Scott
- Check out the new rail bikes available to rent by the Fruit Company
- Sustain Home and Better Together Tap Truck on 1st St
- At 301 Gallery, enjoy live music with Julianna Waters and Barry Cannell. Crush Cider will be serving their brews
- Stop by Fishpeople to enjoy live tunes from Matt Coughlin, try some Freetime Wine and brews from Thunder Island. While you are there, sample some ceviches
We will kick off our School Supply Drive for Hood River County schools this Friday evening. We will be collecting items until September 2nd, at our next First Friday. More details to come soon on collection locations.
