THE SPCA is looking for a man who was filmed feeding a goat beer from the boot of his car.

In the video, which went viral on social media, he can be heard saying he wants to make the goat drunk as it’s making noise.

In a statement, the SPCA said it was not sure where the video was shot but the man was speaking Tswana. The SPCA said it had noticed a trend of people fishing for likes on social media, which had led some committing acts of animal cruelty for publicity.

“Some audiences find these acts entertaining and encourage the abuser while others disagree. Very few of these posts are reported to the relevant authorities or to the SPCA,” a statement on the organisation’s website read.

The SPCA said vile acts such as having sex with animals, physically abusing them, live feeding and animal fights were against the Animal Protection Act and a number of other laws.

Anyone with information can contact the SPCA Farm Animal Protection Unit on 011 907 3590, or email [email protected]. All information will be treated with the strictest of confidence.
