Habitat Family Stories
Families are in need of affordable housing live everywhere. Our organization seeks to help fill the need for safe and decent housing in Snohomish County.
Housing insecurity touches nearly half of adults at some point in their lives. A majority of Americans believe that it is challenging to find affordable quality housing in their communities and more than half of all adults say they have made at least one trade-off in order to cover their rent or mortgage. Such trade-offs may include taking second jobs, cutting back on health care or healthy food, and moving to less safe neighborhoods.
Through several programs and with the help of volunteers, we provide opportunities for families to learn about home ownership and become homeowners so they don’t have to make these trade-offs. We engage people like you by providing a meaningful way to come together with members of our community to help families build safety, security and self-reliance through shelter.
