This is the third year in a row that Torrens University has been accorded global Tier One status by CEO Magazine and ranked alongside business schools across North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand.
Professor Alwyn Louw, Vice-Chancellor of Torrens University says retaining the Tier One ranking shows how Torrens University’s online MBA program has gone from strength to strength during a period of disruption.
“Right now, the worlds of work and broader economy are rapidly changing. Any MBA qualification must stand the test of this context,” Professor Louw said.
“The CEO Magazine ranking is a clear indication that we are succeeding in our work with industry partners to ensure our graduates’ skills match industry needs. This is indeed why we are a proud partner of industry in everything we do. The ranking also highlights our role in developing the career pathways for students. We take this very seriously.”
Jerome Casteigt, General Manager of Business and Hospitality says Torrens University has been uncompromising with the quality of its online MBA program – balancing the expectations of our students as well ensuring the pillars of the MBA program remain solid.
“The rankings validate our efforts in two areas of focus. One is providing learning [assessment and tutorial] flexibility to our students, because a very large majority are working full time. This is critical,” Casteigt said.
“Secondly, people want return on investment on their learning. They want to achieve knowledge and career progression. Our MBA program is built around current industry challenges and by academics who are industry practitioners. It ensures our program is much more relevant to our students.”
Another strength of the Torrens University course is the faculty-to-students ratio in the teaching programs. This enables the smaller cohort of students to receive focused guidance from industry-engaged academics – helping students achieve their goals during their studies and ultimately in their careers.
Professor Greg Harper, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Business and Hospitality at Torrens University says providing students with options continues to be very important.
“One of the things we pride ourselves in is that we have a flexible MBA that really caters to learners’ needs and gives them a lot of choice. We pride ourselves on our online teaching – especially in this COVID world – and it’s an area where we will continue to be very strong."
