IRVINE, Calif. (August 24, 2021) – The Big West has announced a partnership with Broadcast Management Group (BMG) that will allow the league to air all conference championship events on ESPN+ in 2021-22.
BMG and The Big West will take a bold step forward, producing thirteen championship events for air on ESPN+ in 2021-22. These championships include: Men’s & Women’s Cross Country, Women’s Soccer, Men’s Soccer, Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Women’s Golf, Men’s Golf, Beach Volleyball, Men’s & Women’s Tennis and Men’s & Women’s Track & Field.
Broadcast information on the 2021-22 Big West Men’s Volleyball Presented by Hawaii Tourism and Women’s Water Polo Championships will be announced at a later date. Women’s Volleyball, Baseball and Softball do not hold championship tournaments in The Big West.
“Whether you’re a student-athlete, a coach or a fan, this is another great day to be a part of The Big West,” Big West Commissioner Dan Butterly said. “For the first time in history, all Big West championship events will be produced and aired on ESPN+. We look forward to collaborating with the first-rate producers at BMG to bring these championships to life by showcasing our Big West institutions and sharing the compelling stories of our student-athletes.”
The Big West championship telecasts will feature a combination of live coverage of championship events and 30- to 60-minute highlight shows.
All games from the 2021-22 Big West Women’s Basketball Championships presented by The Hawaiian Islands will be produced by The Big West and BMG. The duo will also produce all men’s games at the basketball championships except the semifinals and final which will be produced by ESPN for air on their linear networks.

The first championship broadcast from this collaboration will be the 2021 Big West Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships hosted by UC Davis. The full schedule is as follows:
