After high school and before finding BCPP, we were isolated much of the time, felt invisible in our community and spent days at home with limited opportunities to interact with others. We lacked a consistent place and purpose to experience belonging, and continued learning and growth. BCPP gave us a place to create, connect and contribute to our community. Many of us began our art careers through experiences in expressions of a BraveHeart Fine Arts Program. Our interest and
experiences at BCPP include various mediums and techniques.
 
We created this piece as artists attending Brave Heart Center for Place and Purpose (BCPP), a partnership between Auburn University Social Work Program, First Presbyterian Church of Auburn, and Alabama Council on Developmental Disabilities.
