Thabo Jama thanks Zahara for his big break.

Working with well-known artists has always been Thabo Jama’s dream.

When all his stars finally lined up, he was grateful to get a chance to work with award-winning singer Zahara.

He approached many well-known singers but it was she who made all his dreams come true.

Thabo featured Zahara on his two amapiano singles titled Shappa Phala and Thandaza, released earlier this month.

Thabo (33) who hails from Tarlton in Krugersdorp spoke to SunBuzz about his big break.

“Zahara gave me my big break in the music industry without making me pay a cent. When everyone else didn’t believe in me, I asked her to feature in my two amapiano songs and she just agreed. She told me she believed I am a star in the making and we did the two tracks. They are both available on music streaming platforms,” he said.

He said his journey in music has been tough.

“I tried everywhere and every person I came across, but no one paid attention to my requests. It had been a long journey before I could finally get my big break through Zahara. The way she welcomed me was the most touching thing in my life,” said Thabo.

“She said I have the most incredible beats and that I should have been a multimillionaire by now. She then offered to help me to release my songs,” he said.

Thabo is working on a new song set to drop next month.

“I am working on releasing a new song titled Mama.

“The track will give hope to all those who have lost their mums,” he said.
