Traditional Stories from Northern New Mexico, Live at Fuller Lodge

Traditional Stories from Northern New Mexico, Live at Fuller Lodge In-Person

*This program will be held in person at Fuller Lodge. Free to attend.

Paulette Atencio is an independent folklorist and author who delights audiences with cuentos (stories) learned growing up in Penasco, NM, and a lifetime traveling northern and central New Mexico. She has been a professional bilingual storyteller for over twenty years and is a registered Chautauqua speaker for the New Mexico Humanities Council. These centuries-old folktales impart wisdom passed down over hundreds of years, focusing on traditions of the Southwest and universal themes of humor and morality.

Atencio has published two collections of stories including Cuentos from Long Ago and Cuentos from My Childhood: Legends and Folktales of Northern New Mexico.

Books sales by Samizdat and book signing by Paulette Atencio following the program.
